I’m a Graphic Designer with over 25 years of experience in branding, print and web design. For many years I co-directed a design studio in Australia and then in New Zealand, working with clients across education, corporate, conservation, iwi, fashion, publishing, local government, not-for-profit, music, film and creative areas. The diversity of projects was both challenging and rewarding.

I have extensive experience in post-production for large fashion shoots, including image selection, retouching, grading and effects followed by the design of printed and digital sales and marketing material. I’m also an exhibiting artist working in oil, monotype, graphite and watercolour. A life-long passion of mine is fabric print design and I’ve designed many unique prints for both full fabric widths and small-scale repeats, balancing both creative and technical challenges.

A few years ago I took a part time position working with a leading New Zealand Fashion Design Company. This opportunity has allowed me to design content for some of the world’s leading fashion brands. I love the challenge of great design that stays true to the brand. With the rest of my time I work on my art and freelance graphic design work.

I’m passionate about design and solving creative challenges and have an eye for detail and a strong conceptual approach. As a perceptive communicator I make it a priority to understand my clients’ needs and am committed to delivering results. I know the last 5% of a project is the hardest and I stay focused until completion.

I work well in a team, always contributing to achieving results. In a leadership role I foster a positive team environment and build strong relationships. I’ve presented to large audiences, pitched concepts and led branding workshops. I hold University qualifications in art, design, animation and interactive media. I have te reo Māori level 5 and a solid understanding of tikanga.
